Copyright Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

EdenStream exists to help Adventist creators build sustainable ministries — which means copyright is not an afterthought: it is the foundation. This policy explains how we handle copyright claims, in line with Zimbabwean law and, because our hosting infrastructure is in the United States, the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Our commitment

2. What you may not upload or sell

3. Filing a takedown notice (DMCA §512)

If you believe content on EdenStream infringes your copyright, send us a notice containing all of the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a list of works);
  2. Identification of the material on EdenStream you want removed, with enough detail for us to locate it (the product title, URL, or seller name);
  3. Your name, and a way to reach you (postal address, email, or phone number);
  4. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf;
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, their agent, or the law; and
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send notices to: the Operator, EdenStream Media, Karoi, Zimbabwe, or via the Contact link on the site (marked “Copyright notice”). Because the Service is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure, notices may also be submitted to Cloudflare’s abuse process.

Filing a false or abusive notice can make you liable for damages. Only file if you genuinely believe the content infringes your rights.

4. What happens after a valid notice

  1. We remove or disable access to the material within 48 hours (usually sooner).
  2. We notify the uploader and give them the right to respond.
  3. If the uploader files a valid counter-notice (section 5), we restore the material within 10–14 business days unless you tell us you have filed a court action.
  4. We log the account. Repeat infringers are terminated (section 6).

5. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice with:

  1. Identification of the material and where it appeared before removal;
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification;
  3. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe (and, for US-hosted matters, the federal courts of the United States district where you are located);
  4. Your name, contact details, and signature.

We will forward your counter-notice to the claimant. Material is generally restored in 10–14 business days unless the claimant files a court action in the meantime.

6. Repeat infringers

Accounts with two or more confirmed infringements are terminated. We also terminate accounts that attempt to evade this policy through new accounts, aliases, or shared credentials.

7. Other rights and abuse

8. Copyright and the founding promise

The 24-hour human review of every Marketplace product is a promise of this platform: nothing goes on sale until a human has confirmed it is the seller’s own work or properly licensed. If you see a listing that slipped past review, tell us — that is how the sanctuary stays safe.
